They spoke with the Case Managers, Unit Managers, Teachers, Librarian, and Administrative staff about the Ohio Means Jobs program. Staff learned about Ohio Means Jobs and how beneficial completing an application prior to their release can assist an inmate. Many times an inmate may have an interview scheduled with a company immediately upon their release. There were many questions and positive feedback from all staff. Representatives from Job and Family Services then met with four offenders who are assigned to work in the Library. They instructed the inmates on how to navigate through the Ohio Means Jobs application process. Now these inmates can assist other offenders who want to submit an application.
