4 December RICI Veterans reflect upon Military History December 4, 2018 By ODRC Institutions, Richland Correctional Institution (RiCI) RiCI, Veterans Day Luncheon, James Jamerson, Purple Heart, Walter Williams, Ryan Legg, Jason Davis 0 RiCI Veterans from four branches of military service came together to reflect upon the proud history of the United States military. Former veterans assigned to RiCI are recognized each year during the Veterans Day Luncheon. RiCI Correction Officer and Army Veteran James Jamerson educated the gathering on the history of Veterans Day. Officer Jamerson, (a Purple Heart recipient) stated that Veterans are “special” people and there is something that is equally special that connects all veterans. Guest speakers, Walter Williams (Freedom House Veterans Home), Ryan Legg and Jason Davis (Keefe company) also shared thoughts regarding military service. The annual luncheon has become a tradition at RiCI.
