4 December NERC Residents Speak to Lorain High School Students December 4, 2018 By ODRC Institutions, Northeast Reintegration Center (NERC) NERC, Lorain High School, Symposium, Words for Words Programs, Holly Jenkins 0 Two bus loads of students from Lorain High School made a special trip to NERC to participate in a symposium of sorts with the women of WORDS FOR WORDS, a special group of residents that typically travel to local area schools to share their stories with high risk high school girls. The program participants hope that their stories can help young girls reach out to resources that they may not be aware are available to them should they find themselves in situations that require intervention. The WORDS FOR WORDS program is the work and passion of NERC Correctional Program Manager Holly Jenkins. While at NERC the students were divided into small groups where they were able to interact and ask specific questions to the NERC residents.
