1 November MCI's Production Agriculture Pumpkin Project November 1, 2016 By ODRC Institutions, Marion Correctional Institution (MCI) MCI, Production Agriculture, Pumpkins, Warden Wainwright, The Ronald McDonald House, Boys and Girls Club 0 Marion Correctional Institution’s Production Agriculture class led by vocational instructor Jonathan Barrett raised over 4000 pumpkins for distribution to service agencies and schools in multiple Ohio counties. Marion staff Warden Lyneal Wainwright, Rebecca Shafer, Lee Campo, Guy Campo and Jonathan Barrett were present at the pumpkin drops for The Ronald McDonald House of Columbus, and The Center for Family Safety and Healing of Franklin County. Other agencies receiving pumpkins were Richland County and Marion County Children’s Services, New Hope Early Childhood Center of Mansfield, Taft and Harrison Marion City Schools, the Boys and Girls Club of Marion County and various local churches. Mr. Barrett and the men of the Production Agriculture Class are honored to serve the agencies providing a multitude of services for our community youth! The Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) endorsed this enterprise project by purchasing the thin clients, servers and security peripherals recommended by DAS. The Bureau of Information and Technology Services (BITS) partnered with the Ohio Central School System (OCSS) to secure applications, expand programming and reduce risk statewide. Comments are closed.
