NERC Offender Groups Donate Over $4,900 to Local Community in 2018

The offender groups JayCees, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Toastmasters International, and NAACP at NERC rounded out 2018 by making final donations to some very deserving local charities in the Cleveland area.

All totaled, in 2018, NERC offender groups donated $4,909.59 to Women of Hope, The Salvation Army, Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries, Toys For Tots, The City Mission, University Hospitals Rainbow Baby’s and Children’s Hospital, and also to the DRC Military Peer Support at the Operations Support Center. Additionally, residents at NERC gave over 300,000 hours of Community Service that resulted in donations of hats, scarves, blankets, mittens and even personal hygiene items to several churches, veteran’s and women’s shelters in the Cleveland Community throughout the year.

Toledo Correctional Donates to the Toys for Tots

ToCI WIC organized a monetary and toy donation at ToCI. The institution donated $777 and several boxes of toys to the local Toys for Tots drive. Warden Bowerman, the Deputies, Major and Ms. Kozina presented the check and toys to our local toys for tots representative. The staff at ToCI really enjoyed giving back to our local community and spreading Holiday cheer!

MaCI Donates Toys and Knitted Blankets to Toys for Tots

Madison Correctional Institution staff donated toys and offenders knitted blankets for Toys for Tots. The Inmate Red Cross Group also presented a check. Pictured are MaCI Staff along with Madison County Job and Family Services. Over 70 toys were donated.
