At London Correctional we brought a brief overview of these programs inside the fence with the same intent, to educate offenders and their families. The program was offered to 20 offenders, hand selected, after writing a one-page essay on, “why it is important to them to be selected to participate in Human Trafficking information sessions.” The first three classes were taught by subject matter experts in the field of Human Trafficking focusing on Childhood Trauma, changing our views of women from objects to humans, and getting real in our relationships. The final class the offenders' family members were invited to join them in learning, how to spot/help vulnerable family members who could be trafficked. The program was a huge success and we look forward to expanding and continuing this program.
