Current Warden, Brande Harris,</summary><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial;"&gt;NERC was first Accredited on August 19, 1996, under the leadership of former Warden Norman Rose. &amp;nbsp;Current Warden, Brande Harris, accepted the most recent Accreditation, their 8&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; consecutive&amp;nbsp;with the American Correctional Association. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial;"&gt;Warden Harris was joined at the ACA Conference by Director Mohr, Regional Director Todd Ishee, and Regional Audit Administrator Dan Lipperman, who were also on hand as sister institutions GCI and LorCI accepted their Re-Accreditation Certificates.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial;"&gt;Auditors Lester Young, Author Beeler and Randy Cross had extremely laudatory comments about NERC and their experience in conducting the ACA Audit earlier this year. NERC achieved scores of 100% Mandatory Standard compliance, and 99.76% Non-Mandatory compliance. &amp;nbsp;Warden Harris said &amp;ldquo;I&amp;rsquo;m very proud of our hard working staff who have already starting the work to prepare for our next re-accreditation audit. Our staff are totally committed to making successful resident reentry a reality in Ohio.&amp;rdquo; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

ACA accreditation is intended to improve facility operations through adherence to clear standards relevant to all areas/operations of the facility, including safety, security, order, inmate care, programs, justice, and administration. &amp;nbsp;The Standards and Accreditation department&amp;rsquo;s staff facilitates the accreditation process from initial contact through assessment, contracting, preparation, the accreditation audit, and lastly the appearance before the &lt;em&gt;Commission on Accreditation for Corrections&lt;/em&gt; for a final accreditation decision. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
