Parole Board Hearing Officers currently participate in several reentry courts throughout the state. Offenders released from prison are referred for and accepted into a program where they meet monthly with the sentencing judge to review their progress on supervision. In addition to the Hearing Officer, the offender’s parole officer and any treatment providers are involved in the meeting as well. The offender’s case is reviewed by all interested parties prior to meeting with the offender to go over the update provided to the judge. Goals, achievements, and setbacks are discussed during the meetings. Upon completion of the program offenders are presented with a certificate.
