Psychiatrists

We are actively seeking psychiatric providers to begin work in the Bureau of Mental Health Services providing psychiatric services to offenders incarcerated in correctional institutions.  Employees would be a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, provide direct psychiatric care to offenders, and refer offenders for psychiatric hospitalization, among other duties.  Some clinical supervision may be required. Part-time positions are available.  Salary is negotiable based on qualifications, years of experience, institution acuity, and supervision requirements.

Licensed Psychologists

Needed to provide mental health services to offenders with mental illness. Full-time civil service positions are immediately available in various institutions throughout the state. Employees would be a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, conduct individual and group clinical interventions, administer and interpret psychological tests, conduct clinical risk assessments for the Parole Board, performs crisis assessments and interventions, provide training for clinical and correctional staff, and provide supervision to psychology assistants (if filling a supervisory position), among other duties. Registered Nurses

Needed to provide clinical nursing services for the adult ambulatory offender population within Ohio’s prisons and medical facilities. Nursing opportunities available within the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) include sub-acute hospitalization care, chemotherapy, prenatal, end of life care, ambulatory care, and quality assurance. Employment with the DRC provides the professional nurse an opportunity to practice nursing in an autonomous environment while realizing a sound financial and retirement future.
