EMPLOYEE TRANSPORTATION TEAM

Belmont Correctional Institution (1998)

Employees at the prison expressed frustration at the institution’s travel procedures. Many requests for travel were disapproved because the paperwork was not properly completed. The team revamped the process and developed a new form, In-State Travel Prior Approval Form DRC 1624, which will soon be available to all prisons. Michele Eberlin, Leader 740-695-5169.

ROUGH RIDERS

Trumbull Correctional Institution (1996)

The team from TCI looked into the use of personal vehicles for official travel causing budgetary concerns. The team developed and put into place a new documentation form. Expenditures from January through April 1995 were $29,979. After the team implemented its changes the amount was $8,174.94 for the same period in 1996. Eric Gardenhire, Leader 330-898-0820.
