Director of Ohio’s Prisons to Host a Media Brown Bag Lunch Session

(Columbus) – Terry J. Collins, Director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), will be hosting a media brown bag lunch on Thursday, March 26, 2009, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Director Collins will discuss current issues impacting DRC, population increases, offender reentry, community corrections, alternative sentencing and a general overview of DRC operations.

This session will be held at DRC’s Central Office (Union Room), located at 770 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43222.  Because this is a brown bag lunch session, those in attendance should bring lunch with them.  Any media wishing to attend should RSVP to the DRC Public Information Office by calling (614) 752-1150.  The deadline to RSVP is March 20, 2009.

Directions: 

From North:

Take I-71 South to exit 109A; merge onto I-670 West. Take exit 2A to merge onto OH-315 South. Take US 40/Broad Street exit, and then turn right on West Broad Street.

From South:

Take I-71 North to OH-315 North. Take the US-62/Rich Street/OH-3 exit toward Town Street. Merge onto South Sandusky Street. Turn left at West Town Street. Turn right at South Green Street. Turn right at South Davis Avenue. Turn right at West Broad Street.

From East:

Take I-70 West to Exit 101A; merge onto I-71 North toward Cleveland. Take exit 109A on the left to merge onto I-670 West. Take exit 2A to merge onto OH-315 South.  Take the US-40/Broad Street exit. Turn right on West Broad Street. 

From West:

Take I-70 East, to I-670 East. Take exit 2A to US-33. Continue toward OH-315 South and merge onto OH-315 South. Take the US-40/Broad Street exit and turn right on West Broad Street.
