WARDEN CHANGES ANNOUNCED

(Columbus) --- Reginald A. Wilkinson, Director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), today announced personnel changes which will take effect on January 19, 1998. Ralph Coyle, warden at Mansfield Correctional Institution (ManCI) will be reassigned to a position in the Office of Prisons to assist with Critical Incident Management and DRC’s Special Tactical and Response Team. Coyle served as warden of ManCI since 1996; prior to that he had been the warden at the Grafton Correctional Institution and the commander of the state’s first Boot Camp. Betty Mitchell, warden at the Trumbull Correctional Institution (TCI) will assume responsibilities as the warden at ManCI. Mitchell is a 10-year veteran with DRC and has been the warden at TCI, Southeastern Correctional Institution and the Hocking Correctional Institution. Khelleh Konteh, a 13-year veteran with DRC will become the warden at TCI. Konteh had been a deputy warden at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, and recently worked as an administrative assistant to the south regional director in the office of prisons.
