Death Row Moves to Ohio State Penitentiary

 

(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has announced that it has started the transfer of Ohio’s Death Row inmates from the Mansfield Correctional Institution to the Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown today. 

 

The transfer of death row will continue through the upcoming weeks until all transfers are complete.  Currently, there are 194 men on death row and one female who will remain housed at the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
