Execution of Alton Coleman

(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) has scheduled the execution of Alton Coleman (A205-901) for Friday, April 26, 2002.  Coleman is scheduled to be executed at 10:00 a.m. by lethal injection at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, Ohio. 

Coleman is being executed for the 1984 aggravated murder of Marlene Walters in Hamilton County.  Coleman had victims in multiple states, and as a result there will be a closed-circuit viewing room to accommodate twelve additional victim witnesses.
