It is the mission of the DRC Bureau of Communications to maintain, both in attitude and action, a cooperative and responsive posture to inform the public, media and other agencies concerning DRC operations, accomplishments, and critical incidents. In an effort to facilitate positive relations with the public, media and other agencies, public information staff will work diligently to answer all inquiries in an accurate and timely manner, providing there are no risks to the security.
The Bureau of Communications educates the public about DRC by producing, creating, and reviewing all informational and marketing materials that are issued on behalf of the Department. It is the goal of the Bureau of Communications to market the positive components of DRC’s multi-faceted mission of servicing offenders, legislators, community stakeholders, victims, offender family members and other agency partners.
