PRIVATE VENDOR SELECTED FOR NORTH COAST CORRECTIONAL TREATMENT FACILITY
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) Director Reginald A. Wilkinson today announced that Management and Training Corporation (MTC) of Ogden, Utah is the preferred bidder for the operation and management of the North Coast Correctional Treatment Facility (NCCTF), in Grafton, Ohio (Lorain County). MTC has been operating DRCís other private facility, the Lake Erie Correctional Institution in Conneaut since September of 1999.
DRC will be presenting MTCís proposal to the Controlling Board in early May. Once the contract is formally awarded, materials relating to the bids and evaluation process will become available.
CiviGenics was selected as the first private vendor for NCCTF in July 1999. NCCTF is a 552-bed facility that serves as a treatment facility for individuals convicted of felony drunk driving charges and minimum-security inmates with a history of substance abuse.
