Corrections Department Realigns Top Jobs
(Columbus) --- On June 5, 2000 the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) realigned the duties of some of its top positions. In announcing the changes, DRC Director Reginald A. Wilkinson said, "Our goal is to further enhance the agencyís service to the prisons by improving access and response time to institution concerns and questions. The changes also reflect the growing and changing nature of the Departmentís mission, responsibilities and accountability to the public."
Terry Collins, 47, formerly the South Regional Director, will become Deputy Director of Institutions. Collins began his career in 1977 as a social worker at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility (SOCF). Collins has served as warden at the Lorain and Ross Correctional Institutions (RCI) as well as SOCF.
