Scheduled Execution for Death Row Inmate Richard Cooey

(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has confirmed that Richard Cooey, #194-016, is scheduled for execution on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, Ohio.  The Ohio Revised Code mandates lethal injection as the manner of execution.

Inmate Cooey was convicted and sentenced to death for the 1986 aggravated murders of Wendy Offredo and Dawn McCreery in Summit County, Ohio.
