Prison System to Test Readiness for Crises Situation
(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) will be conducting a Critical Incident Management training (CIM) exercise at the Franklin Pre-Release Center on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. The training exercise will be conducted in conjunction with local law enforcement and support agencies, as well as other Central Ohio Prisons. DRC Bureau of Public Information will be allowing media to come and cover the exercise as a news story. This will give the media an opportunity to see how DRC prepares for and carries out their critical incident management procedures. CIM Training Exercises are conducted to ensure DRC is prepared for any emergency situation. These planned training exercises offer a scenario in which staff members are given the opportunity to practice their knowledge and test their skills with regard to incident resolution.

Take I-71 South to the Greenlawn Avenue exit. Turn right on Greenlawn Avenue and follow to Harmon Avenue. Turn right on Harmon Avenue. Institution is on left side of the road.
