NEW WARDEN APPOINTED
(Columbus) -- Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) Director Reginald A. Wilkinson has named Donald W. DeWitt Warden of the Montgomery Education and Pre-Release Center in Dayton, Ohio. The new assignment will be effective February 10, 1997.
DeWitt has been employed by DRC since 1991. He was responsible for recovery services, mental health services, and educational programming for the inmate population in his most recent position as Special Services Deputy at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution.
Mr. DeWitt brings a wealth of educational experience with him. He has been a teacher, principal, and an administrator involved in the education system since 1969. A graduate of Xavier University, DeWitt holds a master's degree in Education Administration.
"We are confident that Don DeWitt will be able to carry out the mission of the Montgomery Education and Pre-Release Center. His experience and involvement in the education field are two of the reasons we have placed him at the helm of this prison," said Wilkinson.
