Dayton Correctional Institution and Montgomery County Common Pleas Court to be Honored for Perfect Audit Scores

(COLUMBUS)---       Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) Director Reginald A. Wilkinson and Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Administrative Judge Jeffrey E. Froelich will host an open house event at the Dayton Correctional Institution (DCI) on Thursday, August 28, 2003. The open house will recognize DCI and the Court’s Division of Criminal Justice Services for both scoring 100% during their recent American Correctional Association (ACA) audits.

American Correctional Association standards are the national benchmark for the effective operation of correctional systems throughout the United States and are necessary to ensure that correctional facilities are operated professionally. Standards reflect practical, up-to-date policies and procedures which safeguard the life, health, and safety of staff and inmates.

Directions to site from Columbus:  

Take I-70 West past Springfield. Take exit 41 (S.R. 4 South) to I-75 South (approximately 8 miles). Turn West (right) on Edwin Moses Street (becomes Nicholas Street). Nicholas Street dead-ends into Gettysburg (approximately 3 miles). Turn North (right) on Gettysburg to first traffic light. Turn West (left) on Germantown Street and drive approximately 1/2 mile through first traffic light. Institution is on left (watch for sign marking entrance) and cannot be seen from the road.
