– The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Director Reginald
A. Wilkinson, will be joined by State Representative Nancy Hollister, Sam Speck,
Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), and other officials
at the Noble Correctional Institution (NCI) for recognition of NCI’s recycling
program on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.
ODNR Division
of Recycling & Litter Prevention will recognize the efforts of NCI and the
Southeastern Ohio Joint Solid Waste Management for implementing a successful
recycling program. The new
recycling program will save an estimated $30,000 during its first year of
implementation by recycling office paper, newsprint, plastics, corrugated
cardboard, steel food cans, electrical wiring and a variety of other products.
The program was fully implemented in June 2003.
NCI is a
minimum/medium security adult male prison located in Noble County.
