Turtle Creek Center to Open as Alternative to Prison

(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), in partnership with Talbert House, will hold the official ribbon cutting ceremony of the Turtle Creek Center on Monday, December 2, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in Lebanon.  State and local officials will be joining DRC Director Reginald A. Wilkinson for the ceremony. 

The Turtle Creek Center, a 72-bed facility, will provide southwestern Ohio counties with a sentencing alternative to incarceration for adult felony offenders. Offenders placed at the Turtle Creek Center will remain close to home and continue to work to support their families, pay court costs and provide restitution to their victims.

• Take 1-71 South, turn right on State Route 123
• State Route 123 will turn into State Route 63 in Lebanon
• The halfway house is located on the North side of the road and shares a parking lot with a local Community Based Correctional Facility
• The facility is directly across the street from the Lebanon Correctional Institution at 5232 State Route 63
