The Columbus APA is a member of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) which is administered by the US Marshal's Office and includes membership from several law enforcement agencies in Central and Southern Ohio. The team is responsible for tracking and apprehending violent felons.

Columbus APA has membership on the Urban League Violent Crime Prevention Initiative Advisory Board. This is a pilot project modeled after a very successful program in Florida ran by the Office of the Attorney General.
