The mission of the Adult Parole Authority is to protect the public from violence and other crime through the building and sharing of offender information with victims, the courts and other criminal justice agencies, and to provide supervision of offenders who are in the community, utilizing strategies aimed at rehabilitation, incapacitation, and when necessary, punishment.

The Cleveland Region has entered a partnership with Alternatives Incorporated to establish a Community Justice Center at the Self Center Halfway House in Cleveland. The Self Center will provide space for a mini police station and make facilities available for community groups, victims' groups and faith-based organizations to meet.
