The McLin School staff believes that with
participation and completion of educational
programming, inmate-students can return to society
to lead productive and positive lives. The annual
Shared Service Area Four (SSA 4) Retreat includes
DCI/MEPRC, Lebanon and Warren Correctional
institutions. The retreat provides the teachers
with the opportunity to learn, review policies, set
performance goals, complete the annual needs
assessment and facilitate workshops to cover OCSS
and institutional processes. This year the major
focus has been on training the teachers in the
following areas: RAP data entry, PME data entry,
online attendance, online Request to Purchase (RTP),
online Request for Leave (RFL) process, etc.
The latest discussion points for DCI/MEPRC were the official consolidation, the DD Anderson 2nd Chance Scholarship and the David Clevenger Culinary Arts Scholarship. During the SSA 4 Recognition of Retirees, Gary Predmore, MEPRC Teacher, was honored for his dedication to the Ohio Central School System. Staff training and goal setting demonstrate the strong commitment it takes to assure offenders successfully reenter society equipped with useful skills.
