Location

The Endeavor Branch is located on the grounds of the Corrections Medical Center (CMC), and serves an average population of over 120 inmates. The Endeavor Branch commits to the following educational programs:

Overview

The Endeavor Branch is pleased to highlight the tutor training program at CMC. The Franklin Pre-Release Center Literacy Teacher trains volunteer cadre and serves as the instructor for the three day tutor training.

Apprenticeship is also a unique Department of Rehabilitation and Correction program started in the early 1970’s under a cooperative arrangement with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. Apprenticeship is the time honored practice of acquiring a trade or craft designed to provide approved training to inmates in DRC for future profitable employment and appreciable living standards, when they reenter their communities as entry-level skilled workers.
