7 March Girls Love Mail March 7, 2018 By ODRC Institutions, Northeast Reintegration Center (NERC) NERC, Girls Love Mail, Gina Mulligan, Hand Written Letters 0 The residents at the Northeast Reintegration Center supplied a total of 5,000 letters to the organization “Girls Love Mail” in 2017. Gina Mulligan, the founder of Girls Love Mail, expressed her gratitude in a Thank you card to the residents "I'm amazed by how many letters we get from the ladies at ODRC and truly appreciate their support. The care and concern they express in the letters sends a positive light into the world." This organization collects hand written letters of encouragement to women at cancer centers and/or newly diagnosed cancer patients. Every letter is a gift from the writer to the women going through a difficult time. "The writing of letters are contagious, I myself have written many letters. In one month I sent over 200-just myself. They are very inspirational, and it means a lot that we are touching the lives of the sick in a positive way," stated Holly Jenkins, NERC Case Manager and Program Facilitator.
