27 October TCI Woodshop Students and Carpentry Apprentices Hard at Work October 27, 2017 By ODRC Institutions, Trumbull Correctional Institution TCI, Lockers, Woodshop, Apprentice, Champion Schools 0 Men of Trumbull Correctional Institution worked hard to provide much needed lockers to a local school. Final touches were made and the lockers were picked up by Champion Schools. Each of the 20 lockers were constructed with an enclosed shelf and a vented bench. The skills learned while working on meaningful projects, not only benefit the community also build confidence within the men themselves. Each project provides the worker with experience in a respectable trade. These skilled trades may be successfully utilized upon release from incarceration.
