4 October Remember What it was Like Returning to School... October 4, 2016 By ODRC Adult Parole Authority (APA), Dayton Adult Parole Authority Reentry Collaborative, Back to School, Dayton Parole Authority 0 Remember what it was like returning to school? Some of us looked forward to it, but can you imagine going back to school without new clothes and school supplies like the other kids? The Montgomery County Reentry Collaborative, Supportive Services Committee created the Back to School USB event. USB is an acronym for Uniforms, School Supplies and Book Bags. Members of the Dayton Region Adult Parole Authority participated in this event and raised $140 for a young lady, age 10 and her brother, age 6. Senior Parole Officer, Monika Hampton used her astute shopping skills and was able to purchase a week’s worth of uniforms for both children. Small acts of kindness and generosity will make our community stronger. My thanks to The Montgomery County Reentry Collaborative, Supportive Services Committee and the Dayton Region APA.
