16 August CCI's Annual Canine Handler Family Day August 16, 2017 By ODRC Chillicothe Correctional Institution (CCI), Institutions CCI, Canine Handler Family Day, Aramark, Stacey Cartee, DASH Rescue 0 CCI conducted its 2nd Annual Canine Handler Family Day. Each handler was able to invite guests and able to spend the afternoon visiting session with not just their guests but their dogs as well! The men and their families were treated to cookies and lemonade provided by Aramark staff. Twenty-five handlers and forty-four guests attended this great event coordinated by Stacey Cartee, CCI Canine Coordinator. It is evident how much she and the handlers care about the dogs and puppies in their care. A photographer was on hand and Jo Erwin attended from DASH Rescue. Inmate “Tom” stated, “It is wonderful to be able to share this event with our families. They hear about our puppies all the time, hopefully this will help them understand why this program is so important to us”. Thanks for everything Stacey and what the handlers do to make this program such a success!
