8 August ManCI and Air National Guard enter into Partnership August 8, 2017 By ODRC Institutions, Mansfield Correctional Institution (ManCI) ManCI, Training, Air National Guard, Warden Sheldon, ANG Commander James Camp, Community Partnership 0 Mansfield Correctional Institution took a step in enhancing its firing range /training capabilities while at the same time entering into a Community Partnership with the Air National Guard in Mansfield. Warden Sheldon and ANG Commander, James R Camp, 179th Airlift Wing, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Community Partnership. With an anticipated date of August 2020, the state of the art facility and classroom will provide staff the ability to qualify all year around, long range shooting, night time shooting. Upgrades include parking, water drainage and improvements to road access. Multi agency, city and county law enforcement agencies and regional training will be able to be accommodated. The project also gives the ANG a local facility for its 500 plus airmen to qualify without sending them to Camp Perry.
