7 August DRC Staff Trained in Trauma Informed Approaches August 7, 2017 By ODRC Corrections Training Academy Office of Programming Development and Evaluation, SAMHSA Gain Center, Trauma Informed Approaches, APA, Mental Health, CTA, Reentry, Victim Services, Quality Analyst Team 0 The Office of Programming, Development & Evaluation hosted trauma experts from SAMHSA’s Gain Center to train DRC staff as trainers in Trauma Informed Approaches. Participants included staff from the Adult Parole Authority, each prison, Mental Health, CTA, Reentry, Victim Services and our Quality Analyst team. This evidence based training is pertinent to effectively managing offenders and directly related to the wellness of our staff. Marion Technical College and the Corrections Training Academy each hosted one of the two days sessions. Congratulations to each of our participants for certifying as a trainer in this critical content.
