6 July RCI Celebrates 30 Years July 6, 2017 By ODRC Institutions, Ross Correctional Institution (RCI) RCI, 30 Years, Director Mohr, New Generation, Former Wardens 0 Ross Correctional Institution hosted a celebration to commemorate the institution's 30th Anniversary. Many employees, retired employees, OSC staff, and previous Warden's attended the event. Director Gary Mohr was the first Warden at RCI and was one of many former Wardens who spoke about their experiences as Managing Officer of the facility. At the time of construction, RCI was called a "New Generation" prison that incorporated a campus-style plan and a direct supervision management located on a 59-acre site. In 1987, RCI had 1051 cells and was staffed by 310. Today RCI employs 494.
