5 July AOCI Staff and Offenders Participate in Law Enforcement Torch Run July 5, 2017 By ODRC Allen/Oakwood Correctional Institution, Institutions AOCI, Law Enforcement Torch Run, Ohio Special Olympics, Warden Haveiland 0 AOCI staff and offenders participated in the 2017 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Ohio Special Olympics. AOCI had 10 staff members run with local law enforcement on a route through the community in Lima. As part of the running route the group was welcomed onto the grounds of AOCI by Warden Haviland and staff as well as offenders in the recreation yard. Offender groups donated $2,000.00 to the Torch Run and Special Olympics. AOCI offenders also made 267 posters that were distributed throughout the community and waived to encourage the runners as they carried the Special Olympic torch through the community.
