Ohio History Connection - Women in America Panel

Ohio History Connection - Women in America Panel

Denise L. Justice, Ohio Central School System (OCSS) Superintendent represented the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) and Correctional Education today at the Ohio History Connection.  Superintendent Justice was asked to be on the panel for the Women In America 100 Years of Change.  The impressive panel was moderated by Ann Fisher from WOSU.  Panel discussions included topics reflecting the Women Suffrage Movement, highlighted past experiences, noted accomplishments, highlighted the importance of mentorship today in the private and public sector, and encouraged women to “lean in,” take risks and move forward with passion in the Ohio workforce.

“It was an honor to represent correctional education on such a prestigious level,” stated Superintendent Justice.  She continued, “I am proud of the work we do in the Ohio Central School System, so it was important for me to demonstrate the impact we as correctional educators can make to better the lives of those we serve,” emphasized Superintendent Justice.

Panelists: Jill Meyer (President & CEO, Cincinnati US Regional Chamber), Ashley Jordan (Curator, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center) Jo Ann Davidson (Former Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives), Ann Fisher (WOSU 89.7 NPR News), Linda Clement-Holms (Advisor

to the Chairman & CEO, Former CIO, Procter & Gamble) and Denise L. Justice (OCSS Superintendent)
