22 May RCI Donates to Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati May 22, 2017 By ODRC Institutions, Ross Correctional Institution (RCI) RCI, Going Home for Good, Shriner Children's Hospital, Pop Can Tabs, Cincinnati 0 Ross Correctional Institution's Going Home for Good Unit Representatives visited Shriner Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. In addition to donating $500 to the hospital, representatives donated 75 pounds of pop can tabs. The pop tabs are recycled by the hospital and are used to pay for various medical equipment, books, videos, computer software, and parties for children. Shriner's Hospital serves children up to age 18 years old with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate. These children are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.
