24 February SCC - Project Linus February 24, 2017 By ODRC Institutions, Southeastern Correctional Complex (SCC) SCC, Project Linus, Yarn, Quilting 0 Recently, Volunteer Liaison Amy McKenzie delivered supplies of yarn, pattern books for quilting and crocheting to the SCC Hocking facilities Project Linus. She picked up eleven crocheted blankets, one fleece blanket, and twelve quilt tops to be donated to 17 different facilities including hospitals, foster camps, homeless shelters, and abuse shelters. Project Linus is a wonderful program that creates new memories and security through blankets. The Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) endorsed this enterprise project by purchasing the thin clients, servers and security peripherals recommended by DAS. The Bureau of Information and Technology Services (BITS) partnered with the Ohio Central School System (OCSS) to secure applications, expand programming and reduce risk statewide.
