The program featured the London Correctional Institution UBUNTU Men’s Chorus, the World House Choir and guest speakers Bishop Todd O’Neal and Wendell Young. The UBUNTU Men’s Chorus and the World House Choir both performed five songs, Poetry Readings, Congregational Singing, a powerful message from Wendell Young and a Benediction by Bishop Todd O’Neal. Mr. Young is a member of the Cincinnati Council and a retired Cincinnati Police Officer. Catherine Roma is the Founder and Artistic Director of the UBUNTU Men’s Chorus and worked tirelessly in bringing together outside guests, offenders and staff in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King. The Ubuntu Men’s Chorus donated monies to four (4) charities from Dayton Artemis House, Columbus Local Matters, Cincinnati Word Play and CAIN Churches Active in Northside. Monies were raised through the sale of their CD.
