30 January Cleveland APA Donates Pop Tabs January 30, 2017 By ODRC Adult Parole Authority (APA), Cleveland Adult Parole Authority Ronald McDonald House, Cleveland APA, Pop Tabs, P.O. Dawson 0 Parole Officer Jonathan Dawson presented a charitable idea to the ERC committee approximately a year ago, this idea was for our agency to start saving pop tabs and donate these pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland, Ohio. The Ronald McDonald House collects pop tabs which gets turned in and recycled into money for their family fund called, "The Ronald McDonald Family Fund" which helps support the families that stay at the Ronald McDonald House. The money received by the donation of pop tabs provides meals and items for families, assistance in emergencies, and gives families special moments like small gifts for children if they have a birthday while at the facility. While at the Ronald McDonald House, the undersigned got to witness a 23 year old female named Diana get very excited to meet PO Dawson and help accept the pop tab donation. Diana was extremely moved by this gesture since she has been at the Ronald McDonald House on and off for over a year. She stated this type of donation is something everyone should do because it helps families who are struggling with a sick loved one. The Cleveland Region Adult Parole Authority contributed greatly to this event and made this donation possible.
