Offenders were able to shop for jewelry items for their loved ones to be received during the Christmas holiday. All jewelry was manufactured by offenders in the Marion Correction Institution and Ohio Reformatory for Women through the Embark Re-entry Program facilitated by Mrs. Christine Money. Mrs. Money and her staff came to London Correctional Institution and set up tables full of jewelry to initiate the shopping process for staff and offenders. This current sale has totaled up to just short of $2000.00. All proceeds from the jewelry sale goes back into the Embark Program to help provide assistance in many capacities for offenders upon their release. Deputy Warden Moore said, “Even though the Embark Program has not yet been initiated here at London Correctional Institution, we are extremely honored that Mrs. Money has allowed our offenders to experience the rare occasion of actually selecting and purchasing gifts for their loved ones”.
