NERC Recovery and Addiction Program Hold Special Graduation

“Changing Faces” is a capstone Residential Recovery & Addiction program conducted on a continuous basis at NERC. The program addresses the needs of a critical Reintegration Pathway.

The Changing Faces Program assembled its most recent class yesterday to conduct a formal graduation ceremony that was emceed by long-time NERC staffer Leslie Gray, who has been off of work recently battling and beating cancer!  Leslie Gray told the staff and graduates how much she appreciated everyone’s support and prayers and that she looks forward to returning to work soon! Many of the graduates were joined by family members who were invited in to attend the event.

Congratulatory remarks were made by Chief of Security Brian Evans and keynote speaker Carol Jenkins, who is herself a recovering addict. The graduates heard a poem written and presented by Ashley Yarian, and a song titled “Maintain” performed by Lisa Hartman, Amanda Buxton and  Misty Doterweich.  After presentation of the Graduate Certificates family members joined the graduates to enjoy refreshments and some time together.
