Southwest Regional staff, LeCI Warden Tom Schweitzer, along with WCI staff and inmates participated in the 5K walk/run. All participants had an opportunity to shop for supportive items at the “Cancer Awareness Boutique”, participate in a balloon launch and in a “hand print” memory sheet to acknowledge those that have been touched by cancer. Employee Activity Chairperson, Phyllis Hawkins, created a quilt from American Cancer Society shirts that were used from prior fund raising events which was then auctioned off as a fundraiser. A grand total of $1,576.00 was donated to Ms. Addie VonDenBenken, ACS representative for Warren County.
