5K at DCI Benefiting Wogaman Middle School

DCI raced alongside members of the Cedarville University cross country team and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., in an effort to raise money to purchase school supplies for Wogaman Middle School.

The 5k Race was held on the prison grounds and the race course took participants throughout the compound.

This “Race” gave everybody involved an opportunity to support the youth of Wogaman and the community of Dayton.

DCI correction officer and Fraternity member, Otha Lewis stated: “It was truly an honor to not only participate, but include my fraternity brothers as well. Despite their convictions, a lot of the women at DCI have big hearts and want to give back. It is just a matter of being there to support them and serving as the liaison between them and the community.”
