1 November CCI and the Correctional Peace Officers Foundations, Inc. November 1, 2016 By ODRC Chillicothe Correctional Institution (CCI), Institutions CCI, Correctional Peace Officers, Warden Jenkins 0 The Chillicothe Correctional Institution has been fortunate enough to be a Lifetime Member of the Correctional Peace Officers Foundations, Inc., since 2012. The foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1984 and is devoted to supporting and assisting the surviving families of Correctional Officers slain in the line of duty at the hands of incarcerated felons, as well as assisting families during catastrophic times in their life. Recently, Officer Eric Vest, while on vacation, lost his home to an electrical fire. He had a complete loss of contents and will spend years rebuilding his home. Charlotte Jenkins, Warden, was proud to give a check on behalf of the foundation and staff at CCI. “This organization has helped so many staff in the few short years CCI has been a member. It is a wonderful feeling to present someone going through such a rough time with a check to help out with the little things”.
