28 October MCI's Father Daughter Dance October 28, 2016 By ODRC Institutions, Marion Correctional Institution (MCI) MCI, Father Daughter Dance, The Warehouse, Workshops 0 Marion Correctional Institution recently hosted their annual Father Daughter Dance. The participants were required to complete" The Stronger Fathers, Stronger Daughters” program. The program is composed of a video series created by Meg Meeker M. D. The men were required to attend 8 group sessions and three (6 hour) workshops with their daughters prior to the dance. The Dance received community support from the following businesses and organizations: The Warehouse - Italian Restaurant located in Marion, Ohio provided the lunch meal for the dance. Victoria Bell, dance instructor in Marion, Ohio, provided dance lessons during 2 of the 3 workshops. Victory Center Church of God, Marion, Ohio provided morning refreshments on the day of the dance. Greg Miller, a former Captain for ODRC, Marysville, Ohio, provided DJ services during the dance. Grafton Correctional Institution offered video film services for the individual dances between the fathers and daughters. Unit Manager Marti Jerew facilitated the program with the assistance of case managers Barb Davidson and Wendy Ash.
